Personally, my favorites are documentaries, on the CI (Crime Investigation), Discovery, Animal Planet, and History channels.

CI - Forensic Files, Cold Case Files, Crime Investigation Australia.
Discovery - Mostly planet/animal/history related shows, and Air Crash Investigation, Emergency ER.
Animal Planet - Any of the Animal Cops shows, like Animal Cops Detroit, etc. Also, David Attenborough (lol name) documentaries...
History - Mostly Medieval History, medical history such as the Black Plague, that kind of thing.

...I also do like Futurama, The Simpsons and Family Guy.
